The Pointer Sisters began their formal vocal training in their father's church in West Oakland, CA. Their 1973 debut album reached #11 on Billboard magazine's pop singles chart. The album was certified gold with the group becoming the most talked-about new act of the year. They boast being the first black female group to ever perform at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville, TN.

A mix of pop, rock & roll and R&B, the music of The Pointer Sisters has spanned 40 years of chart breaking hits like "I'm So Excited", "Neutron Dance" and "He's So Shy". Their talents have taken them from private concerts to the big screen, starring in movies and television with some of Hollywood's most talents artists. In recent years, the group has performed with some of the greatest symphony orchestras in the world, including San Francisco, Jacksonville, Atlanta's symphony orchestra and the renowned Boston Pops. They maintain a busy touring schedule and take their music all over the world.
