Mission: Raising Special Kids' mission is family support for parents of children with disabilities and special health needs. The organization offers families a link to information, resources, advocacy, support and leadership training provided by parents of children with various disabilities.
Raising Special Kids' services are free of charge to any family without regard to the child's age, disability, parent's income, or other factors. In 1979, the organization was founded as Pilot Parents, and last year supported more than 9,000 contacts with families and professionals. Programs and services are available in both English and Spanish, with outreach services in northern Arizona for tribal families of the Navajo and Hopi Nations.
